I believe that parents who host parties where alcohol is served to their teenage children and their children's friends are morons. I call them morons because they actually think they're benefiting their kid's welfare. The parents who serve alcohol to their kids and don't care about their kid's health and well-being are criminals. Anyone who wishes to dispute this should check out an authorative Website devoted to a mature and balanced discussion of the Supervised Teen Drinking phenomenon - www.iamamoron.fool

Comment: Steve, you are so right. Such parents are total morons who should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If they can't trust their kids to not drink and drive, they should take the car keys away, period. Early curfews also will avoid a lot of problems. (All high school kids should be back home no later than 15 minutes after the last movie at the Boulevard Cinemas, in my opinion, unless they are under the active supervision of a parent or a responsible adult at least 30 years old.)

About this blog
Steve Rustad
Several years ago, the Argus-Courier graciously consented to publish my weekly drawings. For those who lack the means to subscribe or the temerity to steal their neighbor's paper, this blog offers a way to appreciate the generosity of John Burns and Chris Samson in giving me a platform. DISCLAIMER: Please be warned that not every cartoon you see here was published or approved by John and Chris. Since this is a blog I get to post all of my half-baked, ill-conceived and/or biased musings - not just those ideas which survive the considered, objective and responsible editorial review process. In that sense, it's just like the Drudge Report or anything you hear from MoveOn.org.
